Snow pixie - tutorial

I'm sorry that giveaway gets just one of you : (

For all the others I prepared Snow pixie tutorial:

You'll need:
piece of clay or air hardening clay like Das clay
lace
needle or toothpick
cutter
brush
roller
underglaze color or watercolor (for Das clay)
glaze or varnish (for Das Clay)

Roll piece of clay.

Impress the lace into the clay.

Draw a pixie with needle or toothpick.

Cut off the redundant clay.

Shape a face, tuft, hands and border for hood.

Wet the area where you'll put items and stick them on pixie.
Imprint a pattern on hood.

If you use Das clay, soften edges before it will dry.
If you use clay, let it dry first, than soften edges with damp sponge.

Bisque fire             or            air dry the pixie (Das clay)

Color it with underglaze colors           or           watercolors (Das clay)

Glaze it and fire it.          Use varnish for Das clay.

Glue a magnet to it.

Happy snowy weekend

It was snowing all night and in saturday morning we've got  a brand new fluffy thick snow blanket all over our country.
I realy enjoyed in snow, that's why:

Our town covered with snow blanket.

We live in center of  Skofja Loka town,
but we have only 10 minutes by foot to the first forest.

We went up to the hill, not for a wonderful view, but...

for rolling downhill!

Yooheeey!

We are all snowy, wet and happy!

Mostly whole Europe is in snow. ENJOY!

Giveaway

The time has come, when days are short and nights are long. Maybe that's why we look back and think about what we did and achieved in last year. We are grateful for all blessings and good things and we are looking forward with hope and  wishes for the New Year.

The time has come, when we give presents to the people we love.

This year is special for me, because I start writing my blog. I was afraid, because English is not the language I speak well, but I struggle and forgive me all mistakes. I am really happy for all of you, who come and read my blog and really grateful for all of you who take time and write a comment. THANK YOU!

I have a little present for you.

It's a little multi-purpose jar. You can fill it with candies or store a garlic in the kitchen or  lit a candle in it. If you are up for it, please leave your comment below. You have time till  18th of December and I'll announce a winner on the next day post.

Time for friends

These days before holidays are special days for me. I take time off and to go out with old friends. You now how people rush around in days just before Christmas? There is a lot of things to be done and nobody has time to sit and  drink a cup of coffee with friends.

Now it's time for friends :)

My dear friends, expect my call !

Grannie's cookies

On a day like this

is nice to stay at home and bake cookies.

Our children prefer old traditional "machine cookies"
that are made on old Grannie's all-purpose machine.

The recipe is very simple one:

1 kg wheat flour
400 g butter
400 g sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon  vanilla sugar
 lemon peel
1 -2 spoons  rum

I can't resist temptation..........

mmmmmmmmmmmmm  : )

Cake vessel

Christmas time is here and it has become a tradition to bake a lot of cookies, biscuits and cakes.
There is a smell of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla in almost every house.
On cold winter days we warm up with hot tee and delicious homemade cookies.

On this occasion I made some cake vessels to store and serve cookies.
Sweet feast days to everyone!
